Check a Telegram channel for fake engagement

Before buying an ad placement, review the channel's cleanliness index, fake-subscriber and manipulated-view risk, actual reach (ERR), and the evidence behind the verdict.

How to check a channel

  1. Open @TG_InspectorBot in Telegram.
  2. Send the channel's @username or a t.me/username link.
  3. Your first full check is free. Further checks cost one credit.
  4. The report usually arrives in about a minute and includes:
    • a green, yellow, or red verdict and a 0–100 cleanliness index
    • actual reach (ERR) and an estimated reach for an ad placement
    • the main warning signal, explained with the channel's public numbers
  5. A repeated report for the same channel is free for 24 hours.

What the report measures

Cleanliness index: 0–100 A combined assessment of public reach, audience activity, viewing patterns, and channel metadata.
Actual reach (ERR) Median post views relative to subscribers. It shows how much of the visible audience normally sees a post.
Manipulation risk Separate signals for subscribers, views, reactions, and comments, with a plain-language explanation.

Why this matters before buying ads

For the narrower subscriber-quality question, see how to check a Telegram channel for bots. To understand reach, read the guide to ERR.

Frequently asked questions

What does TG Inspector check?

It compares public channel signals: subscribers, post views, reactions, comments, reach stability, and the difference between ordinary and advertising posts. The report summarizes them as a cleanliness index, ERR, and a risk verdict.

Can public data prove that a channel bought fake engagement?

No. Public metrics support a probabilistic risk assessment, not proof of intent. The report therefore explains the signals behind the verdict instead of making an accusation.

How much does a channel check cost?

The first full check is free. Further checks cost one credit, with lower prices available in multi-check packages.

Can TG Inspector check a private Telegram channel?

No. A channel must be publicly readable because the assessment uses public posts and public engagement counters.
